before leaving, our kids asked if we would take one of their special stuffed animals with us on our trip. they have about a million stuffed animals and they pile them all up on the bed and sleep with them at different times. they love collecting them and i am always trying to put as many of them as i can in garage sales, but they love them too much!
they each picked one out. my oldest daughter picked the the sock monkey and our youngest daughter picked a spotted dog. they told us that the animals would help remind us of them, so we won't miss them too much :) i then realized it would be fun to take pictures of them having all kinds of fun adventures during our trip and it would help them as much as it would help us. despite the embarrassment at times, we have pulled them out and taken pictures of them doing all sorts of crazy things. when they arrive back home, they will have traveled to many different places and have done almost everything we have.
